Crude Monopoly

Happy Monday!

Just wanted to drop a note to those of you sticking with me while I get things going again … This time next week we’ll have loaded up the studio along with some antiques and what else of my life I don’t mind paying to mave 3,000 miles & we’ll be getting ready for one last party night in LA before flying back home to buckle down and get things running for real.

I hope to be up and recording again by August 8 … and from there I hope to have at least a track or two out for review and collaboration 2 weeks from there.

I’ve had “Polar Bear Club” in my head for months … so she’s first on the list. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  It will be the first of many, many tracks to come!

Until then, if you’re socal family: I’ll see you soon!  If your HBG family, well – don’t miss me too much!

Tomorrow marks the start of the real count down … 30 days until I retrive the studio … 3 weeks from there until I hope to get some new tracks up for you.

And soon after the real fun begins.  Once I get to work out the legal kinks, of course

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, life is hectic right now.  My studio is in a coma 3000 miles away, getting farther by the moment.  In the process, I’ll be doing my best to post demos and updates here so I can keep everyone in the loop.  Publicly, you can still find me every Thursday @ the Abbey Bar, and when other shows come up I’ll definitely let you know!!  Meanwhile, I do appreciate your love and patience in the process  

Anyway, as I’m posting and hitting the bricks and posting some more, don’t forget to hit me up if you’d like to get together on any of the demos you hear coming out.   I often feel my songs moving in different directions at the same time, and that is the biggest reason I decided to make Crude Monopoly more of a “collaborative experiment” than a traditional band.

The coming months are going to be great.  I’m glad to have you here, and grateful you tell your friends.

… for now, anyway.  In the rush back home, some things were ever-so-’temporarily’ left behind.  My studio being the biggest one.

Stay tuned this summer as I find every way I can to keep bringing you new demos and love.  As I put the pieces of my life back together.  As I move ahead and start bringing new, real tracks for you to love, hate, and collaborate on.

I have some Left Coast envy right now.  But it’s about to be fixed.  And it’s about to get GREAT…
